Bob B My name is Bob Bass and I’ve been a client of Bankrupt Debt Services for roughly a year now. I was referred to them by another associate of ours who has been in business with Bankrupt Debt Services and had told me “You’d be out of your mind to not contact them”. We are a relatively small collection agency and debt buyer that is continuing to grow. Throughout the years we have been in business, we had purchased dozens of portfolios from various brokers. My first experience with BDDA, I contacted the phone number on the website and spoke with Mr. Jonathan Koop (months before I met him) who had kindly explained their business model and what they had to offer us even as a small agency. As any debt buyer knows, the bankruptcies and deceased accounts start to build up. You put your company at risk when you have an office full of collectors calling accounts that may be bankrupt or calling families of recently deceased debtors. Of course we all have skip tracing tools, but there are always a few accounts that slip through the cracks. The first thing I did was send Jonathan Koop all of our known deceased and bankrupt accounts. He sent me back a PSA to buy these seemingly worthless accounts off of me for roughly the same amount as what I had paid for them. It felt like free money, debt that I wouldn’t hesitate to just delete from my system. Instead, we received an unexpected deposit. From there I was told that they would scrub my entire stock. I trusted Jonathan Koop and the company he represented. I sent him every single account we had purchased and still owned. What I received back was a list of every debtor that had filed bankruptcy, what chapter they filed and the status of the bankruptcy. We also received a list of deceased individuals that a TLO scrub didn’t catch for us. Again, we signed a PSA and they wired us funds to purchase all of our unworkable accounts. Aside from getting “free money” or “refunded for our unworkable accounts”, they save us time. Time that one of my employees would spend calling an account that had been included in a bankruptcy, or working an account for an hour just to find out the debtor is deceased. There is no doubt that BDDA has saved us time and made us money. They have also batch skipped a portfolio for us for phone numbers and actively scrub our inventory monthly. It’s been a profitable and efficient business relationship. Jonathan Koop has become someone I trust and he has provided me with advice and direction that has assisted our growth over the past year. This company is well credentialed, reputable, and now I urge that if you are in this industry; just as someone once told me… You’d be out of your mind to not contact them.
